Lots of good information in the comments section too from seasoned trappers.Have a kitty who is challenging to trap and/or will not enter your trap?!!!![]()
TRAP TRAINING may be the answer to this problem!![]()
1. Securely zip tie the trap door open so the trap can not close.
2. Start with the food right in front of the trap. This is a good time to implement a feeding schedule if you haven’t already done so. ![]()
3. Move the food bowl back a little each day until it’s in the back of the trap. ![]()
4. When the cat is freely going in and out of the trap for food, cut the ties and set the trap as normal for a scheduled spay/neuter date. ‼️Don't trap a cat unless you have an appointment or have a walk-in clinic option.![]()
⚠️ The only available food should be near or in the trap.![]()
